He stood on the running board of the Jeep with a pistol in his hand, then opened fire on the gray Jeep that had hit him, according to police.Īnother witness to the crash told police she heard between four to five shots fired after the crash. Police suspect that Jones was driving the red Jeep and opened the driver’s door after the crash. The Jeep then made a wide right turn and crashed into a red Jeep that was waiting at a stop sign at a nearby intersection. The gray Jeep then slammed on its brakes to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of it, then tried to drive around that vehicle, but sideswiped its driver’s side rear bumper, according to police. Surveillance footage from the street showed a gray Jeep driving on Wood Street, according to police.
